i went tricking at that grass patch since there was no wushu today.

focused on butterfly twists and aerials

i did butterflies at first
then that left legged jump and land butterflies
then i tried the twist itself after watching tutorials

i think i landed one out of ten tries. lol and i think it's not a proper landing cos i felt it all mao-yao-ish and it didn't feel awesome as i think i should. maybe i was aiming for the HIGH btwist cos i definitely did the:

jump + stall for a split sec, then twist.

i think i'll ask coach(es) for his/their opinions. but they'll most likely tell me to do the normal butterflies first.

aerials!

boo it sucked.
i could do the cartwheel and one handed carts there OKAY there, but the aerial was just wtf? the feel isn't even it. i think it's more of psychological factors affecting my performance that physical factors, though they have their part too.

Psycho factors:

I was in twilight darkness, with fluoroscent lamps. the sight and feeling gives me all the lethargy i can ever get in the world.

i was in the park in the evening. the smell also probably. that kind of air.. maybe. (good for any time except doing sports)

i wasn't wearing shoes: i wasn't wearing shoes!

no frens ): : yeah, there goes all that motivation and drive to *impress* wasn't there. so frens are important! :) same goes for coaches

basically training conditions psychologically speaking were mostly not met
yeah, just totally different from the sports hall

physical conditions:

i'm doing on freaking hard soil with dried and spiky grass.
soil: ouch
spiky: irritating
grass: itchy

no 'proper' warm up

hard + bumpy soil = bad for ankles and bad for bad landings.
yeah. speaks for itself.

i wasn't wearing shoes: i wasn't wearing shoes!

ground is tilting to one side.. slightly.
really screws with your equilibrium

basically training conditions physically speaking were mostly not met
yeah, just totally different from the sports hall (without the wushu peeps too)

despite all that, there's one main difference with the carpet and grass patch.
i see my strainer slightly clogged with itty bits when i bathe. haha except the carpet is red and the grass patch is black and a little green.

and i have to finish my environmental studies report tonight! sat and sun gonna spend my time revising. though 3 - 6 on those days i'll have to go teach skating! (yeah i got an offer. probably that's cos they're short of staff) 50bucks for 3 hrs :3 i think it's skateline.

hooray to money! :D
