2nd time i wasn't needed for skating lessons, due to 'too few students'. tomorrow will be the third. if adam doesn't need me anymore, he could just say, so i don't have to cancel my things for him. i can understand if he's trying to save a few bucks cos paying me for every three hours isn't cheap. it's $50 for a session. and twice a week. he earns about $10 from each student a session and i don't know how many students he has, but i think he won't be earning at all if everyone were part-timers like me. and then he has assests and FULL-TIMERS to take care of too. much less himself. well. i totally understand.
it has both its up(s) and down(s) though.
ups:
- i used that time to do a bit of thinking for my projects
- didn't have to deal with some of the more annoying kids (i only like some of them)
- didn't have to deal with awkward situations with parents and new comers
downs:
- no $50 for me today, $100 for the week
- hence i can't get the stuff i need/want
- IF i get called up, i won't know where the kids progressed to
on friday, went to chinatown point's wushu store to purchase the dual daggers. but, unfortunately and fortunately, the metal pair was sold-out and i didn't want the plastic-handled ones they had. so i left my name with the lady and she said she'll order them.
unfortuantely:
- i was really looking forward to them that i waited 45 mins for the store to open lol
- wasted trip there D:
fortunately:
- i didn't spend money!
- i'll be needing the money to pay for camp on monday (yeah i kinda guessed i wasn't needed for skating)
and then had clubhouse cleaning. despite 'cleaning' i feel that the clubhouse is more cluttered and.. uncomfy. perhaps it's all the junk there that needs throwing. :l and the floor is even sandier. i can predict another clubhouse cleaning soon. there'll be carpet-cleaning tmr, but i won't be going. there's only one vacuum cleaner.
had my re-grading test just now. san duan chang quan. i guess it's pretty ok, no big slip ups like the previous time. i even had the time to think out loud in my head: what am i doing? oh yeah, san duan chang quan. hmm.. was pretty stable too. except my gong bu-s were a little screwed. but what the heck.
and then i discussed tornado kicks with coach eugene. i got a feeling he's annoyed with my questions, cos some of them i've asked before. practise. practice
i practise tornadoes
wushu is a martial arts practice
coach ky said that my 'new-found/discovered' tornadoes were 'wrong' cos i'm not doing it as to what he's teaching. mine jumps with almost both legs. his, just the right. baaaack to square one. :l quite demoralising, really.
and then they went to mos burger at clementi, i fell to peer pressure and had to take the walk home after that. took me about an hour. got a blister on my foot and small abrasion at my there. correction, NEAR my there. :) hah
took the long, lonely but yet, lovely walk back.
now yi keng's talking to me on msn about tornadoes! (he just read my blog)
