Will I just fade?

Despite the presence of hundreds around me
Despite the company of my peers
Despite how close they may be
Why do I still feel alone, lost and in fear?

While on the surface, the Sun shines brightly
But deep inside, are caverns, void and the dark empty Space
What is it that I seem to need so desperately?
Is it attention? Is it love? Or just my kind of place?

You've all got someone new to be there for
And I see that you are all moving ahead
I don't know everything about you anymore
In time, will I still be there or will I just fade?
